Akshay wraps up cameo in Lara's film

When Akshay Kumar wrapped up TEES MAAR KHAN inside 60 days, it was a record for Farah Khan since both her earlier films MAIN HOON NAA, OM SHANTI OM had well taken over 100 days of shoot. Now Lara Dutta too was the recipient of Akshay's super effective ways. Reason being that for her debut production, though she had planned 3 days of shoot for Akshay's cameo, Lara ended up saving two days as Akshay finished the entire shoot in one single day.
Confirms a unit member, "Lara was pleasantly surprised in the manner Akshay not just fulfilled his commitment for the film but also saved a lot of time, money and energy by working on his cameo close to 24 hours at stretch. Once he reported for the shoot, he didn't take any break whatsoever and requested Lara to have a non-stop schedule."
Resultantly, the crew too was super motivated as it matched steps with Akshay to work non-stop for one full day and night. While this worked for Akshay since he is anyway involved with the promotion of TEES MAAR KHAN as well as the production of his Canadian film, Lara too was ecstatic as she could move ahead faster with her film.
Lara and Akshay go a long way as they have worked together in more than half a dozen films starting with ANDAAZ to BHAGAM BHAG, BLUE, HOUSEFULL and INSAAN to name a few. This is the reason why when Lara approached Akshay to play a cameo for her home production, he was game for it. In his two decade long career so far, Akshay has played a cameo only twice earlier - OM SHANTI OM and JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI.
