Arjun Kapoor: Salman boosted my confidence

Had it not been for Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor would have never been an actor. Salman has been instrumental in inspiring Arjun Kapoor to turn an actor. Salman not only mentored, guided Arjun, who was overweight, shedding those extra kilos and look presentable to face the camera, but also motivated and showed immense faith in the budding star.
Arjun reveals, "I was highly overweight (140 kgs) and being so fat I didn't believe that I will ever face the camera. I thought I can't stand in front of the camera and look presentable forget about acting. But it was Salman who boost my confidence and showed immense faith in me. He always used to tell me 'main tumko actor banake chodunga.'
He used to explain me 'you should give a try to acting otherwise you'll keep regretting all your life. It is something you should pursue genuinely'. And when it comes from a person like Salman you do want to give your try. It took me 4 years to get in shape and make myself worthy enough to face the camera," adds Arjun.
Also starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead ISHAQZAADE, directed by Habib Faisal, is all set to hit the screens on 11th May 2012.
